today a report by MI5 showed that they have twarted at least 5 seriuos plots to kill people since july 7th last year, and that they have been investigating at least 30 other plots.

Are you afraid?

Do you feel you should do things differently?

Are you more suspicious of certain people around you?

Or do you just live your life and does the thought of terror never enter into your mind?

It scares me to the extent of paranoia. Whenever I get on a train and someone's left their case by the door, I'm wanting to know who's it is. I hate busy public transport and I hate sitting next to strangers, especially if they are a different race to me. I know that's a stereotype, but that just seems to be the way my mind works in that situation.

In all honesty, I think about terrorism, because it's in the news, it's a topic for reasonable rational debate, but in life I don't think about it. I won't allow it to change what I do. If we allow everything that can harm us contiously affect us, we'd be vegitating at home like some of the poor blind members of this site. so I get on with my life, and when the day comes in whatever way, I'll hopefully be ready.

Life is full of fatal events. A car can run me over just walking to the store. Being struck and killed by a car and being killed in a terrorist attack both carry the possibility of death. It makes no difference to me. I'm not going to let my fears rule my life.

I don't think too much about it, myself. Whatever happens is mostly out of my control anyway, so why worry about it? I've got enough worries in my life already without fearing what might happen out there in the big bad world.

I don't fear a terrorist attack, but I don't want to be injured badly in one. If a terrorist should strike where I am, either I would like to die, or I'd like not to be harmed. I think to be injured and to be in pain and to be so seriously injured that I couldn't get away would be the worst possible outcomes.
